nowaday's you got akon, and t pain and people like them who sound like some dumb wanna be MC's who stepped out of a bad 80's romance flick. A-kon sound's..........well to me it's an insult to rap that he try to soing....aND HE HAS THE NERVE TO CALL HIS "MUSIC" RAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol but.......what happened to the real gangster rappers, who actually rapped about the real ****, not the fake rappers who only rap about their gold teeth or their cars and their bling.......
man i miss the rappers who put their own original flavor into their music, nowadays......i'm glaf B.I.G isn't here or 2pac isn't here.......because........if they weren't dead then modern rap would have killed them(modern meaning present day)/.

What happened to rap?
rap is not about content anymore, it is about style now. lil wayne is the best rapper now because the literary style he uses is unique- the content of his rap is crap, irrelevant, and makes no sense -"so high i can eat a star?" -but his unique use of metaphor and analogy is second to none.
