What's the obession with being ghetto in the black community?

I am black, southern, and educated. Didn't grow up in the best of neighborhoods and watched my poor parents struggle to make ends meet---but NEVER until (now) have I been more upset with this whole "ghetto" subculture.





Its not "cute" to have so many gold teeth that you scare small kids.





Its not "cute" to talk so horrible that your english has to be translated.





Its not "cute" to buy into the idea that felonies, jail, or criminal activity is normal.





Its not "cute" to not turn in criminals because you don't want to labled a snitch.....





I'm black and I think we need to get our act together and start smelling the coffee!

i agree, but these kids need some fathers around to tell them the same thing.
